[He's not cute. He just didn't expect Yuya would start kissing him. He also never thought it'd feel this good.

When Yuya goes around and calls his name, Yuto glances up and frowns, still blushing.]

...You're doing this on purpose. [It's clearly Yuya's evil plan to make him blush!

Yuto leans closer to bump his nose against the other's. And he's still frowning when he does that.]

Ah, you caught me.

[There's a sheepish grin, but Yuya doesn't look at all apologetic about it.

He rubs their noses together, his smile turning less sheepish and a little more genuine.]

I love you, too, by the way.

[Well, Yuya should be very very sorry for making Yuto blush this much! Not like Yuto is going to voice that complain, especially not when Yuya tells him he loves him too. In fact those few simple words warm Yuto's heart and make him lean closer, until his lips are almost touching the other's.]

And you're telling me about it only now? [He says with a light smile. They didn't have time to talk properly after the confession happened - Yuto knows that, but he still wants to tease his counterpart a little if only as the revenge for making Yuto's face as red as a tomato.

He kisses Yuya gently and slowly, wrappings his arms around the other's waist to bring hims as close as he can. It's hard to believe that just a day ago he didn't realize how much he loves the other.]

[Convgrags, Yuto earns a faint blush dusting Yuya's cheeks.

He opens his mouth to say something, probably to tease his counterpart again, but. Oh. They're kissing again and Yuya easily falls into that. It's almost funny how easy it is to slip into this, so he lets himself be pulled closer.

Yuya gently returns the kiss, wrapping an arm around Yuto's neck.]

[Good. He's proud of himself, because it wouldn't be fair if he was the only one blushing here.

He makes a small, pleased sound when Yuya kisses him back. He really could just forget about everything and lose himself in that feeling.

To bring the other even closer, Yuto slowly lies down on his back, pulling Yuya together with himself. Except that was a mistake, because the moment he feels Yuya's weight on himself he also starts feeling pain in his bruised bones.

And he winces slightly.]

[Yuya easily goes down with him, steadying himself above Yuto with his hands on either side of his counterpart, but the moment he feels him wince, he pulls back.

There's a fond smile as he presses one more kiss against his lips before moving so that his weight isn't on top of the other.]

I think we'll have to hold off on the kissing until you're healed.

[That is to say, he doesn't mind being the one lying down with Yuto on top of him, but he really does want his counterpart to be healed first.]

You're acting like it's something serious. [He mutters once he breaks the kiss.

But it's true. Yuya acts as if Yuto really was injured, but all he has is some bruises. He doesn't need rest.]

...Besides, I still have things to do.

[He failed today, but that doesn't mean he can lie in his room, doing nothing.]

Yuya chuckles, grinning at him apologetically.]

Alright, alright.

[He knows better than to argue anyway. Yuya turns his head when he hears one of his friends calling out to him before he looks back at Yuto.]

Looks like I'm needed for something. I'll see you later, okay?

[He boops Yuto's nose, pulling away from him with a smile.]

[Yuto is just looking at him for a few more moments, then he nods.]

Alright.

[But again he feels he wants to keep Yuya close instead of letting him go. But this isn't even the right place or the right time for it.

He stands up.]

When the war ends... [He trails off. He wants to be together with Yuya. Always. But for now he shakes his head and he gives Yuya a small smile.] First, let's make sure this war ends as fast as possible, okay?

[And then they'll talk about the future.]

[Yuya tilts his head to the side, curious as to what Yuto wanted to say.

He breathes out, flashing a smile at Yuto.]

Right. Let's end this war.

[He'll still give Yuto a kiss before he runs out. He wants to be able to stay longer, but there are still things they have to do. They have to end this war first before they can allow themselves to be indulged in anything else.

But Yuya's been asked to go check out an area, the last area anyone's seen Allen and Sayaka.

What none of them would expect when he's gone to find them is to be dragged into a Duel with Edo, the commander determined to finally kill Yuya.]

[And Yuto is left alone in his room, staring at the door after Yuya is gone.

But he can't just stay there forever. He has to get back to work. He leaves his room, then goes to find Shun. They both go scouting another area, then gather some supplies from destroyed buildings and by the time Yuto makes it back to the hideout it's already evening.

He starts searching for Yuya, asking around if anyone's seen him. But Yuya hasn't come back. Yuto seriously starts to worry.

He's waiting at the entrance of the hideout, ready to go looking for Yuya if he doesn't go back soon.]

[Sorry, Yuto, but Yuya might not be back for a while.

The mission he's been sent on to find Allen and Sayaka lasts for a while and it's actually them, along with Sawatari and Gogenzaka that returns with the news about Yuya, and it's Sayaka who tells Yuto directly about what's happened to Yuya.

Yuya, who's been challenged to a death duel by Edo, and for Yuya whose priorities are always his friends, he had to accept. It's only thanks to Kaito that the four of them had managed to return relatively safe even though it was evident that Gogenzaka and Sawatari were hesitant to leave Yuya behind.]

Upon hearing about Yuya, Yuto starts running towards the place where his counterpart was supposed to duel Edo. Yuya had better be okay or else... Yuto doesn't know what he's going to do.

He won't allow anything to happen to Yuya again!]

[Depending on how long Yuto takes, Yuya might already be finished dueling Edo.

Their enemy turned comrade had gone off to get supples for the Resistance while Yuya steadied himself against a wall.

He barely holds back a wince as he feels his body aching from the injuries he's received from the Duel. More than likely, there are some bruises already beginning to form. His wrist hurt from where Edo had used that chain card, pulling mercilessly to prevent him from getting Action cards and Yuya's trying not to put too much weight on his ankle.

Though, the moment he sees Yuto, he's going to try to hide all of that.]

Yuto!

[When Yuto arrives, the duel is over and all he can see is Yuya. Even though the other is clearly trying to hide his injuries, it doesn't go unnoticed by Yuto.]

Yuya!

[He looks his counterpart over with concern in his eyes.]

What happened here? Where is the enemy?

[Yuto scowls, glancing around, ready to fight whoever may appear next.]

[Yuya's somewhat bemused for a moment before he places a hand on Yuto's arm.]

Hey, calm down, it's okay.

[He grins sheepishly.]

Everything's fine. The enemy isn't here anymore. [But how to explain to Yuto that Edo's on their side now is a completely different story.

But then he pauses, realizing that Yuto's out here when he was supposed to be at the hideout.]

What are you doing out here?

[Yuto quickly looks at him with a stern expression. If the enemy isn't here, then where is he? But that's a question for later.]

What do you mean what am I doing here? I'm looking for you, of course! [That much should've been obvious, right?] You haven't come back and Sayaka told me you're in trouble.

[So how could he not rush here?]

[In a way, Yuya supposes he shouldn't be surprised.

It makes his grin soften.]

Sorry for worrying you like that. But everything's okay.

["Mostly."

Let's just ignore the fact that Yuya's in some pain right now and it shows by the way his hand tightens its grip on Yuto's arm.]

Let's head back before more Academia soldiers show up.

[Yuya explains him nothing, but Yuto doesn't question him any further. They need to move on and they need to do it fast.

Today is really a bad day. Even though something good happened, too, but for what price.]

Can you walk? You can always lean on me if it hurts too much. [He pauses.] Or I can carry you.

[Yuya shouldn't be too heavy. Or at least not heavier than Shun.]

[He'll explain it to Yuto when they're back at the hideout.

He...might have told Edo where they are, but also told the former Commander not to enter unless he wants to deal with some angry Resistance members.

Yuya frowns a bit, testing his ankle.]

I should be okay to walk.

"Should be", huh...

[Yuto looks at Yuya's ankle for a moment. Considering that the enemy may get here any moment now, the hurting ankle may slower them down too much.

Not thinking too much of this, Yuto steps forwards and sweeps Yuya into his arms, carrying him bridal style.]

Don't complain and don't argue. [He says quickly and moves onward.] It'll be quicker like this and you won't have to strain your ankle either.

[Sure, Yuto's arms will start hurting after some time, but they'll be far enough that he may let Yuya walk again when that happens. Plus Yuya isn't exactly heavy, so Yuto will fine for a while.]

[That earns a bit of a startled sound, almost like a squawk really, from Yuya as he instinctively wraps his arms around Yuto's neck. He doesn't think he's heavy himself, but that's beside the point.

Yuto doesn't have to carry him!

He clings onto Yuto, peering over his shoulder in case any Academia shows up.]

You could've given me a warning.

[There might be a hint of a sulk in his voice, but he's not really protesting at least. He continues to hold onto Yuto, though, trying to think up of ways to tell him about Edo. Given Yuto's general hate for Academia in general, it'd be hard to prove Edo's changed ways; better yet, even if he did get past that, the true question is if Yuto will trust him once he realizes Edo's the one who hurt Yuya.

He rests his head on his counterpart's shoulder.]

At least let me walk when we get close enough to the hideout?

I had no time for that.

[That's his entire explanation, really. But maybe the reason why he never warned Yuya is that he didn't want the other to protest. They don't have time for that.]

...I will, but we have to get far enough from here first.

[It takes some time before they are starting to get close to the hideout and only then Yuto, hiding in the shows of the ruined buildings, slowly places Yuya on the ground.

And then he breathes in and out, massaging his own arms a little. Carrying someone for such a long time made his arms hurt a bit, but it's nothing.

He gives Yuya a worried look and his gaze quickly drifts to the other's ankle.]
