[ Steel, wooden, a sword is a sword! And it looks cool when he holds it; he doesn't waste a single second in grabbing the hilt with two hands, just like Aether. It takes a moment to get into the same stance as the Traveller simply because he's not used to holding himself that way, but as soon as he's ready he grins and gives an excited nod.

Ready! ]

[Aether responds with a grin just as happy and he nods and swings his sword to show how to slash with it. Then he waits for the boy to mimic him and so it continues a few more times. Aether wants his friend to get used to feeling of holding the sword and the way you can use it, before they try anything else.

It looks a little like they're practising for a stage play than an actual fight... But Aether still finds it fun and he continues to shine with smiles.]

[ They're holding and swinging swords, who cares what it looks like. Unnamed is beside himself with excitement; and thus his first few 'swings' are more wonky and unsteady than they ought to be. It's hard to curb his enthusiasm when he's doing something this fun with someone he likes very much. ]

Ouh! Uuu...ah! Buh!@

[ SWING. Swing--thunk. Whoops. Hit the ground with that one ]

[He can see how enthusiastic the other is! But aw that swing hitting the ground makes Aether pause and sign.

"I'll help you!"

He places his own training sword away and steps close to the boy, trying to position him a bit better and then help him hold the sword in place. Aether casts a smile to the other, but he's aware they may be a little too close. Hopefully, the other is not uncomfortable... but if he is, then the traveler will step away.]

[ There's no such thing as too close as far as Unnamed is concerned. Aether coming to help him only confuses him for a moment when he thinks he might be getting a hug, but it clicks shortly after that and he makes a sound of pleased understanding.

"Thank you," he signs, grinning--and gives it another shot. And this time? It is much improved. ]

[Well, a hug is something he could also get! Aether wouldn't mind.

The traveler smiles at the boy, happy for his enthusiasm and they try together now. It turns out much better than before, so with a proud grin, Aether pats the other on the head and signs.

"Good job!"

He's sure the Unnamed will be great with time. He's always doing his best.]
