[ It might seem that the vampire is just a people pleaser, but there have been a lot of issues with that ability, people turning their back on him included. But he decides to trust Aether which is precisely the reason why he changes the topic the next moment: ]

[He presses closer, shaking his head, trying to make the other know that all is well.]

I don't have anything to hide from you anymore.

[It's really just that simple. He knows it'll be all okay, because Noé accepts him.] I only hope my memories won't burden you. [That's really the only thing he fears.

Then there's a change of subject. Aether blinks, looking up at his companion. His cheeks dust with pink.]

Sure... [He smiles softly.] I'd love to go on a date with you.

They won't, I will cherish them forever.

[ Even if Noé might not be aware of Aether's concerns regarding his memories, hopefully his words will be reassuring enough for the traveller. ]

I know a few really nice spots in Paris.

[ While they are nice indeed, they might not be suitable for a date. For now, however, Noé doesn't think about it at all. The time for that will come when he asks a friend for advice. ]

I want to show you as much as possible before we leave to look for your sister.

[He appreciates it, really. He finds comfort in those words, wishing them always to be true, no matter what the future will bring.

But there's no need to worry about that now. Aether smiles and nods.]

Let's go. I'd love to see all those places.

[As a curious traveler, he would never miss a chance to see something new.]

[ With a subtelty of a brick and no trace of blush on his cheeks, Noé asks cheerfully: ]

Have you ever been on a date before?

[ Someone will explain to him that he's being way too direct...eventually. ]

I want to try doing as many things as you like, I think.

[Noé...

Aether blinks, blush soft on his cheeks but at this point he figures that this is just how the other is.]

No... Not really. Unless you count hanging out with friends as dates.

[He smiles a little.]

And I think we have all the time in the world to do whatever we both want... But first I want to see those places you've mentioned!

[ He's going to ask ~~Domi~~ around about friend dates for sure. ]

All the time in the world... [ There's a hint of sadness in Noé's smile. ] I'll take you there! But do you think that we need to hold hands all the time? I've seen a lot of couples do that in the park.

[ Actually... he's already looking for advice, it seems. But why is he's asking Aether? It is a mystery. ]

[He notices that trace of sadness but he doesn't comment on it. Instead, Aether smiles softly and gently traces his fingers against Noé's cheek.]

We don't have to hold hands all the time... You can take my hand whenever you like though.

[They'll figure it out together.]

[ Noé relaxes under Aether's touch and doesn't hesitate to take him up on that offer. Rather than just holding the other's hand, the vampire presses his thumb against the opened palm and gently rubs it. ]

What else can I do...?

[ He seems to be stuck in this weird state of craving something really bad, even though he's not being able to pinpoint what does he really want. ]

What else...?

[The question along with the action catches Aether a bit off-guard. It doesn't help that he's already dizzy because of their confessions and because of the blood that he's lost before. Blushing, he tries to think of something to say.]

We could... just lie down, together, close. You could... kiss me more...

[He slowly averts his gaze.]

[ After Aether has said it out loud it becomes clear that he wants the same thing. It's quite funny that verbalizing really helped him realize it. ]

Let's go to my room, then.

[ His heart is racing in his chest, yet Noé retains a fairly neutral tone. The only thing indicating his excitement are his bright red cheeks. Since Aether felt a little weak earlier, he picks the traveler up under his knees and rests the other hand on his back to bridal carry him there.

Who needs warnings for that kind of thing, anyways. ]

[Aether gasps when he's suddenly lifted. His face at this point looks very much like a ripe tomato, blush reaching the tips of his ears, while his heart is beating like mad in his chest. Everything is happening so fast!]

Y-You... could give me a warning at least!

[He reaches up with one hand, gently pinching Noé's cheek while pouting slightly.

Despite that he doesn't move otherwise, letting the other take him wherever he wants. He's excited and slightly nervous both.]

[ Noé answers with his cheek pinched, but the words are pronounced clearly enough to understand: ]

I will ask for permission next time.

[ Aether needs to conserve his energy now, so this seemed to be the only way to move around. At least it doesn't take them long to get there and there are no witnesses. Noé carrying the traveler like that would raise some questions for sure. ]

It's nice... to hold you like this.

[ Noé murmurs these words against Aether's hair behind the closed doors to his room. ]

[Aether still pouts slightly!]

[Permissions are important!

Yet he can't help but smile softly and relax in the other's arms.]

It... feels a little strange to be carried like this but... I liked it. [He admits quietly.]

[ Noé has plenty of experience carrying ~~and yeeting people, so he gives an excited response: ]~~

I can carry you anytime you want... and everywhere you want.

[ What a generous offer. ]

But now you should rest.

[ He walks closer to the bed to carefully put Aether on top of it. With that done, he gazes down at him and can't help smiling. ]

Are you sure that you don't want something to eat now?

[ As soon as he lays beside Aether, it might be difficult to make him get up. ]

[Aether laughs softly, even if a little weakly.]

It's fine. I like walking too, you know?

[His heart beats much faster when he's laid down on the bed, staring up at Noé. He still can't believe all of this is happening, but feeling the soft bed against his back and looking at the gentle smile that Noé gives him makes reality finally hit.

Aether's head is spinning again.]

...I'm sure.

[He raises his arms, trying to reach out to his companion and pull him close.]

Come here.

[ Noé doesn't think twice and lets Aether pull him into an embrace, resting his head on top of the traveler's chest, listening to his heartbeat in silence for a little while. ]

If you want to rest, I'll watch over you. I won't go anywhere.

[ There are so many questions he wants to ask Aether, but his well being comes first. ]

[Once the other settles into his embrace, Aether takes a deep breath, letting the reality sink in further, before he completely relaxes. Noé's weight is pleasant and comforting, enough that the traveler easily closes his eyes. His hands move up, brushing the other's hair in a slow, lazy motion.

It's only when Noé speaks up again that Aether pauses and looks at him.]

I thought you wanted to lay down with me and kiss me?

[That... maybe would also count as resting?? Maybe??]

I did, but...

[ His eyes linger on Aether's lips for a little bit while Noé is in two minds. All things considered, he really should let the traveler rest, and on the other hand it's difficult to resist the urge to kiss him when they're so close and comfortable.

The sentence never reaches its end as Noé leans in and presses a few soft kisses against Aether's lips. ]

Is it really okay if I keep doing what I want?

[The soft kisses make him sigh lightly and a gentle smile is quick to show on his face. The look that Aether gives Noé is fond and hopefully reassuring. A hand continues to brush the other's hair.]

It's okay... It's kind of relaxing, actually.

[So he'll be totally resting like this, too! There's nothing to worry!]

[ If Aether thought that this will be a peaceful time... well, that's definitely the goal, but then Noé's filter stops working and he murmurs: ]

I suppose this is love.

[ His words are followed by a gentle kiss pressed against Aether's lips, too. ]

[Aether's heart skips and he stares wide eyed at the other, before he's pulled into another kiss. No peaceful time for him, it looks like!]

Um... I-I... I suppose it is.

[He's blushing so much when saying that, gaze anywhere but on Noé.

This may really be love. He enjoys spending time with the other, he doesn't mind that his secrets are known, he can't wait for their adventures together.

...The more he thinks about it, it really sounds like love.]

I had no idea that it would feel so... nice and warm.

[ A pleasant warmth has been enveloping him ever since they laid down in bed together to cuddle. ]

Does it feel the same for you? Or any different?

[ Maybe he'll realize that he's asking too many questions... eventually. ]

[Noé is asking a lot of embarrassing questions and Aether's face is bright red by now. Softly, he reaches to touch the other's hair, brush it with gentle fingers, before he frowns.]

You're... very straightforward. [A small laugh escapes him.] I guess I should just get used to this.

[He closes his eyes, grinning a little.]

But to answer your embarrassing question... it feels the same for me.

[ At that moment, Noé realizes that in fact his questions were embarrassing in nature, touching really intimate topics. Flustered, he presses a kiss to Aether's forehead and apologizes softly. ]

I hope that didn't make you feel uncomfortable. [ He'd hate that. ] It's just... talking about my feelings with you... it doesn't feel as nerve-wracking as I thought it would.
