A soft birthday

[December's cold can be felt in the air, even if there's no snow around. At the time such as this all one could wish for is a warm blanket to wrap into and a comfortable place to nap. A hot drink or food is also very much welcomed, just like many other methods to warm up.

Aether has something in mind already.

But December is also a special month. A certain someone just so happens to celebrate birthday and once all the well-wishes are said, a small dinner is had and the evening settles in, Aether catches Tighnari's hand and gently, almost secretively leads him away.

Cyno is already waiting for them in a room. A small, private space just for them, with warm blankets and pillows. Aether keeps on smiling as he settles his hand on Tighnari's back and leans close to his side, while at the same time gesturing to Cyno to join them for a hug.]

Happy birthday, Tighnari. I hope you're ready to get spoiled.

[He laughs.]

[ Once Tighnari's comfortable in the blankets, Cyno follows him, a ghost of a smile playing on his lips when he notices the movement of Tighnari's tail. While Cyno understands his point—it can be difficult to simply forget about work and just let go in order to take care of oneself for a while. Cyno laces his fingers with Tighnari's and leans against him. ]

We've got you covered, Nari. [ Was that a pun? Yes. ] I think we can move on to phase two once Aether is ready.

[ Phase two meaning... more kisses, basically. ]

[He can see that pun, Cyno, and the dramatic way the other calls their next actions is making Aether puff a small laugh. The traveler is more than happy to join the two of them, leaving his boots and gloves on the floor. He settles behind Tighnari, wrapping his arms around the other's middle and leaning close.]

I'm always ready.

[He grins a little more, before pressing soft kisses to Tighnari's neck. Now they really have him surrounded with nowhere to go.

Hopefully, Tighanri will be able to relax.]

[ cyno's pun earns a dangerous look. no bad jokes for his birthday!!

but it isn't long before he's fully surrounded by them both, all but drowning in their attentions, and tighnari can only sigh softly, the tension bleeding out of his shoulders. he leans his weight back into aether's arms, and tightens his grasp in cyno's fingers, an easy smile curving his mouth.

they're really too good to him. tighnari doesn't rightly feel as if he deserves it, but he'll accept their love nonetheless. those kisses to his neck earn a soft, pleased purr, his head resting back against aether's shoulder, while his free hand rises to cyno's face, cupping his jaw, pulling him in close. ]

I suppose I could get used to this.

I'm sure this isn't a one-time event, so you'd better get used to this.

[ Nuzzling his cheek into Tighnari's hand, Cyno offers him a soft smile before tilting his head to kiss his palm. ]

Thank you for taking care of us, Nari. You're truly special.

[ It looks like the blanket fort has affected Cyno in an unexpected way, making him a little more sentimental and talkative than usual. ]

[Aether nods softly and smiles as Cyno talks.]

That's right. We'll be more than happy to spend more time like this with you.

[His one hand reaches out to gently touch Tighnari's tail and brush his fingers into its warmth and softness. He's always enjoyed doing that and now he couldn't help himself either. Smiling against the other's skin, Aether presses more kisses to Tighnari's neck.]

You're so wonderful and always helping us out. We're so luck to have you.

[Tighnari should get ready, as it seems that these two won't stop complimenting him anytime soon.]

[ talkative, sentimental cyno isn't too uncommon for tighnari to see, but it's always nice to see the general open up more, to be a little more emotive than he usually is. it makes tighnari feel like he's doing something right.

but gods, all of this attention - cyno's kiss to his palm, aether's fingers brushing his tail, followed by his mouth at tighnari's throat - it's enough to make him flush very warm. ]

Honestly, you two. You're giving me far too much credit. I'm bound to get a big head over this, you know.

[ but he's smiling gently, leaning into aether's side, while one hand coasts down cyno's arm. tighnari is self-confident enough not to need so much ego-padding, but it nevertheless feels.. nice to be appreciated. nice to be loved. ]
